Site Rules

For Static Caravans and Lodges
 
Please help keep the Burton Constable Holiday Park and Arboretum safe, secure and pleasant
for all our customers by adhering to the following site rules.

All dogs must be kept on a lead at ALL times and any fouling MUST be cleared up by the dog owners immediately.
 
Moter Cycles are only permitted in the park by special permission of the management.
 
Clothes lines are not permitted but window and rotary airers are permissible. No washing is to be left out overnight.
 
Cars should be parked so as to allow access for emergency vehicles and other residents beyond their own site.
 
No temporary structure shall be erected on the holiday park. Each owner of a holiday home must keep the surrounding grass cut for an area of 3 feet around their home, their pitch clean and tidy, and place refuse in the receptacles provided. No articles must be under or near the hiome with the exception of gas bottles. these should be stored in suitable storage lockers and must not exceed 2 bottles at any one time. Only non-combustible boxes/sheds are allowed on site.
 
No fires to be lit anywhere on the holiday park with the exception of barbeques which must be only used adjascent to the caravan and kept off the grass.
Ball games are strictly forbidden on the static sites. these can be played on the recreation area near the Adventure Playground.
 
Sub-letting is strictly forbidden. All holiday homes must be insured and a current copy of the insurance certificate kept at the site office. Insurance should be registered to your main residence.
 
The office is open from 9:00 am to 5:00pm daily during the season
 
Musical instruments or any other noise producing instrument must not be used so as to become a nuisance to other users of the park, and in no circumstances must there be any significant noise on the park bnetween the hours of 11:00pm and 8:00am.
 
No fire-arms or dangerous weapons are allowed in the park under any circumstances.
 
Fishing is by permit only and permits can be obtained from the office. Fishing from the bridge is prohibited.
 
The Management accept no liability for any injury to any person using the holiday park, or for any damage to or loss of property.
 
The Management reserve the right to refuse admission, or to ask any person to leave the holiday park.
 
It is expressly forbidden to use fire extinguishers for any purpose other than to extinguish a fire.
 
No holiday home shall be used for sleeping more than a reasonable number of persons, and the decision of the health authorities or any other authorised person as to what is a reasonable number shall be final.
 
The trimming of any hedge is not to be undertaken without permission of the manager.
 
Sales of Holiday Homes. A holiday home owner may sell his home off the park without restriction. If the owner chooses to sell his home to remain on the site, all transactions shall be carried out with the Manager. The purchaser shall pay the agreed price to the office. The vendor will receive their money within 14 days from Head Office, less a commission of £500 or 15% plus VAT, which ever is the greater, or 8% plus VAT for timber lodges.
 
As from 1st March 2007, any home reaching 25 years willhave to be removed from the site and cannot be re-sold on the site after 20 years of age. Once resold, the age limit becomes 20 years after the sale date.
 
As from 1st March 2004, all holiday homes for new residents going onto and empty pitch will have a 20 year lifespan on this park.
 
No sheds, porches or verandahs to beerected without the design, colour and size being approved by the site manager in advance. No storage space to exceed 80 square feet maximum. Greenhouses are not permitted. No construction workof the above to commence before 10:00am at a weekend.
 
The park has adopted a modified form of the British Holiday & Home Parks Association's Code of Practice, copies of which are available from the office on request. these will be used in conjunction with the above rules to settle all disputes.
 
Please note that all static caravans on the waters edge Lakeside 43 - 67 and 79 must vacate their base by 1st January 2032.
